Theresa is a neuroscientist with a background in developmental neurobiology, human in vitro models and disease modelling. She completed her doctoral research at the University of Tübingen, where she focused on developing regionalized neural organoids as in vitro models for human neurodevelopmental disorders and graduated in 2025. She is a PostDoc in the lab, currently working on revealing disease mechanisms underlying the rare neurological disorder pontocerebellar hypoplasia. Her research experience combines neural organoid models and disease modelling, with a particular interest in developing and advancing physiologically relevant human in vitro systems suitable for high-throughput experiments, including screening applications. |

Trained as a physicist, Lízia is a PhD student in the lab with a strong background in programming and biophysics. Her work in centred on multimodal data analysis, from brightfield image analysis to single-cell RNA sequencing, and she plays a key role in developing, performing, and automating analysis pipelines for the team. She is also an experienced mentor, having supervised bachelor's and master's students on diverse research projects and theses, and taught bioinformatics. |

After completing his Master’s degree in Health Biology at the Université des Sciences Exactes et Naturelles in Reims, Pierre pursued his research career at the Canther laboratory in Lille, focusing on epimutations in iPSCs. He then joined the Cell Culture Facility at the IGBMC in Strasbourg, where he developed expertise across a variety of cell types. He joined the team in June 2024 as a TA. |
